Building Hope

After reading Diary of Anne Frank and The Boy In The Stipped Pajamas we talked about what people must felt like having their whole world turned upside down. I wouldnt imagine how bad it must’ve felt like as yesterday we discussed how we could put their cloth of dreams back together again as this activity was inspired by the  Teaspoon of Light.

We drew what we thought of what would happened if we where in their shoes as we also collaborated with our groups of brainsotrming ideas of what happen back then as this task was also creative expression as all the things I drew came out from my brain and others brains as my most favroite part about this task was fixing the cloth of dreams together again.

Leraning Conversation Chapter 15

This week, we read chapter 15 of “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.” In it, Bruno and Shmuel become very close, and their friendship seems unbreakable. The chapter shows how powerless Shmuel is in his situation, and Bruno cares about him enough to want to apologize after realizing what has happened. The parts I liked most were creating an AI image and the ending, where Bruno admits he was wrong and apologizes.

Learning Convoersation Chapeter 10

Today in class, we discussed chapter 10 of “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.” Bruno wanted to feel happy again because he was unhappy at the new place he moved to, called Outwith. He found it boring there, with nothing to do, so bored that he even broke his dad’s rules to explore near the fence. This shows how desperate he was for excitement. When he met Shmuel, he realized how different they are. I especially enjoyed creating an AI image for the task.

Learning Conversation Chapter 7

Today in Ls2, We learnt about Chapter 7 of the boy in the striped pajamas, there was a new person introduced which was Parvel the servant, and Bruno also got hurt on his knee when he made a home-made swing in boredom. When Parvel was helping Bruno clean his open wound, Bruno found out that Parvel used to be a doctor before he came back to Out-with although he certainly did not look like one. After reading chapter 7 we talked in our groups about these questions about the chapter like how Bruno thought  Mother was taking credit for Parvel’s doing even though she was actully saving him and when Bruno realises that Parvel was a doctor and how the mood changes when he finds out. Now knowing this information, we displayed it on our DLO’s to show our understanding of the Chapter. My group and I worked together to show our answers for the questions and make the DLO look nice, alongside an AI image to show people what the chapter may have looked like to give them a better description.

Learning Convosation Chapter 6

Our teacher read Chapter 6 of the boy in the striped pajamas to us and we all listened carefully. We answered questions about chapter 6 which was mostly about Maria and Bruno because that was the main situation in that chapter for example: One of the questions asked why she feels she must defend father even though she seemed unhappy and another asked what the atmosphere tells us about the story and the risks of speaking loudly in the small, quiet house. We discussed our answers in our groups and the main point for this exercise was to communicate, share our ideas and collabarate at the end to make a DLO together in our groups. My group made a DLO with our answers to the questions on it and

Learning Conversation Chapter 4

For this activity, we were making a DLO about Chapter 4 of The boy in Striped Pajamas and answering different questions about what Bruno sees outside his window. We worked together in our group to explain important ideas from the chapter, like contrast, confusion, innocence, and the atmosphere of Out-with. The questions made us think deeper about the story and understand how the author gives hints about what is really happening, even though Bruno does not fully understand it himself.

We explained how the beautiful garden and the wire fence created a ominous atmosphere, and how Bruno calling the people behing the fence “pajama people” showed how innocent he was because he did not understand what was really happening. We also talked about how Bruno’s mother wanted to plant flowers to make the new home feel more normal, even though everything outside looked grey and depressing. After discussing our ideas, we put all of our answers into a DLO with headings and text boxes to show our understanding of the chapter

Learning Conversation Chapter 3

Today in Ls2, I worked with my group on a learning activity. We went to our teacher’s website and looked at a specific chapter. We found clues about the topic, then wrote down questions related to it. After that, we answered those questions. Once we finished, I used an AI tool called Gemini to create an image and added that image to the website. That was the entire process.
